CFTJ Third Annual Conference

Hitik Law Principal Attorney Talin Hitik served as the moderator of two impactful sessions at the Third Annual Center for Truth and Justice Conference, dedicated to human rights and accountability.

The first session highlighted the Armenian perspective on international legal processes, featuring esteemed panelists: Yeghishe Kirakosyan, Representative on International Legal Matters from the Office of the Prime Minister of Armenia; Siranush Sahakyan, Attorney and Director of the International and Comparative Law Centre; and Armen Ghazaryan, Head of Armenia's Migration and Citizenship Service. Together, they explored the role of international law courts, court proceedings, human rights litigation, and victim representation, emphasizing the importance of these mechanisms for justice and accountability.

The second session examined the role of international claims commissions in advancing transitional justice, with panelists Hannah Garry, Executive Director at UCLA's Promise Institute for Human Rights; Anna Pacurar of Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg; and Simon Meisenberg, Chef de Cabinet and Senior Legal Officer in the President’s Office of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers (KSC). The discussion centered on transitional justice cases within international law and highlighted the critical function of claims commissions in these processes.

We thank the Center for Truth and Justice for allowing Hitik Law to contribute in the organization of this remarkable event, and to all the panelists and attendees for contributing to these vital discussions.
